Description “A SAMPLE BREAKING PERFECTION, WITH INFALLIBLE COLORS, AND IMPRESSIVE CASTING PRECISION” VEGA launched a new range of high-end lures for its 2026 collection, in two sizes (145F and 120SU), for spinning enthusiasts, with 14 highly effective colors, hand-picked by our product experts in conjunction with our Field Testers. The goal of launching a collection of lures whose colors would meet the needs of daytime and nighttime spinning was clearly achieved, with the inclusion of natural and ghost colors (mostly used during the day and in open water), and more vibrant colors (preferably used at night or in “cloudy weather” conditions). Another aspect to which we gave vital importance was the inclusion of high-quality treble hooks, with both sizes coming with high-end BKK treble hooks, which gives the MISSILE MINNOW greater effectiveness in hooking fish and increases its lifespan. Its highly natural swimming action, imitating a small fish, and its compact shape with an aerodynamic design guarantee extra-long and precise casts, making it a versatile lure that can be used for both saltwater fishing for snook, sea bass, croakers, bluefish, mackerel, and horse mackerel, as well as freshwater fishing for pike and largemouth bass. In the Ghost models, the small mirrored plate suspended by springs inside the body vibrates constantly and reflects light even when the lure is completely still or drifting, triggering lightning-fast strikes. Its internal weight transfer between the tungsten piston and the spring ensures long range and precision for the angler, even in windy conditions, reaching long distances, which is crucial on many days.
Tips on how to work the lure: Constant Linear Retrieval: Maintain a slow and constant retrieval with a very tight and natural rolling motion, imitating the swimming of small fish. Jerk/Twitch: Short, sharp twitches with the rod tip cause the lure to drift erratically from side to side, simulating a wounded fish in panic. This type of animation is often lethal. Stop & Go/Drift: Pause the retrieve; animate and stop, simulating a disoriented fish… The lure will remain static (or rise slowly if it is floating).
Features of MISSILE MINNOW models: Floating (F) – Floating: When we stop retrieving, the lure slowly comes to the surface, ideal for avoiding obstacles or fishing in shallow sandbars. Suspending (SP): Remains static at the depth it is at when retrieving is interrupted, perfectly simulating a dying fish.
