Tailwalk PeeWee WX4 Multicolor Braid Description The Tailwalk PeeWee WX4 Marked is a high-quality, 4-strand, multicolored braid made of "Ultra Dyneema," designed and manufactured in Japan for freshwater and saltwater fishing.
Contrary to popular belief, braid is one of the most important parts of our tackle. It's our "connection channel" with the lure when spinning and must withstand friction and tension while fighting fish. A poor, rough braid that sticks the lure to the water ruins the best of the rig, making it impossible for the lure to move properly or reach the bottom, allowing for long casts or losing fish during the fight... all of which could have been easily avoided with a good braid.
In this "marked" version, the line color changes every 10 meters, which greatly helps us identify the lure's depth when vertical fishing, thus avoiding snags on the bottom. It also allows us to determine the depth at which they're biting and work the bait directly in that area.
The Tailwalk PeeWee is designed for all types of fishing and has a high load capacity for its diameter due to the "WX" manufacturing method used. Its best quality is undoubtedly its abrasion resistance.
The Tailwalk PeeWee braid is soft and slippery, providing low friction and nearly circular linearity. This allows the Tailwalk PeeWee WX4 braid to leave the reel at high speed and pass through the guides without slowing down, increasing our casting distance and sinking speed compared to other braids. We tested it with 1-gram heads with a diameter of 0.6 PE, achieving truly amazing casts for the lure weight.
QUALITY CONSTRUCTION: Tailwalk used a new method called the "WX construction method" in the manufacture of the PeeWee, which achieves an extremely high density of knots or braids per inch of line. This is called HD 4 BLADE (high-density 4-strand twist). This translates into: A notable increase in strength compared to a standard PE braided line, as well as a better ability to hold intermediate knots. An increase in surface smoothness and uniformity, which reduces friction and noise when passing through the rings, also producing much less wear on the line. It improves the line's water resistance and reduces the amount of salt it absorbs. PeeWee is a line that barely "picks up water," which means its casting ability doesn't deteriorate with use. Most importantly, "Made in Japan"... We say this because the Japanese are extremely strict when measuring their lines. A PE1 will always be an authentic PE1. We're tired of people telling us, "Well, I fish with a PE1.5 and I have trouble reaching the bottom with my lure," and when we show them the thickness of the Tailwalk PE1.5, they're surprised by the actual thickness of a PE1.5. Other markets, like the US, aren't as strict, and of course, we sometimes see supposedly high-strength lines, which are actually much thicker than stated.
With the Tailwalk PeeWee, you can be sure you're fishing with the desired gauge.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF MARKED LINE? PeeWee Marked line is marked so we can measure each meter of line. This is essential for vertical fishing, as we don't always want to fish close to the bottom, as we often find fish suspended in the middle of the water. It will also make it easier to avoid bottom hooks since we know the depth of the fishing.
With color changes every 10 meters, yellow markings every 5 meters, and black and yellow markings every meter, it's easy to monitor the lure's depth at any time.
